The Journey Set For Me… Continues

by Sammy Thekiso Isaacs

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

This book is about the telling my story in my own words and from my point of view.  It  covers a many parts of my life and is also a reflection of where I come from. I have written this book to encourage many to look at their story and start to write about them so that our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren my have knowledge and understanding of where success or failure originate. Telling your story helps you make sense of your life – why certain events happened the way they did. You begin to examine what has happened to and through you. You begin to make sense of who you are.  Telling your story can be incredibly therapeutic, and the practice often leads to greater confidence and understanding of self. Most people don’t take the time to do this. They take their stories for granted; they don’t steward them. Take the time to learn your story. We need it. And we need you to tell it. If we’re going to be changed by it, you need to tell your own story well. Jeff Goins says ” We must all must become expect in telling our story”
