About The Author

Siphesihle Zwane, also known as Black Bleach, is an author, writer, poet, portrait and landscape photographer based in QwaQwa, South Africa.

A Sotho-speaking Zulu native, who grew up in QwaQwa, an east town in the Free State province of South Africa. He completed his studies at Kgolathuto Senior Secondary School, Phuthaditjhaba, QwaQwa.

He recently published his debut poetry book titled The Bright Eye of the Night. He was chosen as one of the participants of the Business Arts South Africa (BASA) debut program. He was one of 250 South Africans in the program through which they learned to be artpreneurs. He was also one of the chosen that was held at the SABC, Bloemfontein. He has professionally released several spoken word poetry audios.

He is a member of the National Writers Association Of South Africa (NWASA) and the South African Arts And Culture Youth Forum (SAACYF) in the Free State.

He believes that poetry, on its own, is a language. Having been exposed to the likes of Maya Angelou and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, he possesses a unique creativity in writing. He writes to inspire, teach, and, most importantly, engage with the reader.
